MICKEY'S NOT-SO-SCARY HALLOWEEN PARTY
This fun ticketed event occurs each fall at Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom. In 2020, the event will occur on select nights from August 13-October 31. This special event in 2019 allowed us to dress up, Monica dressed up as Peter Pan, Lulu was Wendy, Zeffie was (of course) Tinker Bell, and Zach went as Captain Hook! There are tons of areas around the park for the kids (and adults!) to get candy. There are special character meet and greets as well as somewhat shorter lines on rides due to a smaller crowd than you would see during a normal operating day. One of the coolest parts of the event was the "real" pirates on Pirates of the Caribbean. They were stationed in the queue and in several scenes of the ride. It's so different and a must see! We also got to see the always amazing Boo-To-You Halloween Parade preceded by the famous "Headless Horseman" who rides by before the parade. This parade is one of our favorite parades but just make sure you get your spot at least 45 minutes before the parade starts, if not earlier. Spots fill up fast! The new Disney’s Not So Spooky Spectacular Fireworks show was amazing and featured Jack Skellington as the host. For us, the fireworks were nice, but as big Hocus Pocus fans, we absolutely loved Hocus Pocus Villain Spelltacular which brings back the Sanderson Sisters for some fun, laughs, and a great performance. This event is one we try to attend every year since it mostly overlaps with Epcot's Food & Wine festival. It is a fun event and well-worth the ticket price. We highly recommend it!
